HALLOWEEN 2011

Happy Halloween! This weekend's winter storm prevented us from going out and partying it up Halloween weekend. Instead, we decided to spend Halloween night walking around the West Village.

This year, Elsie went as Nicki Minaj, complete with her pink wig, pink lipstick, pink nails, pink bra, and arm tattoo. Jael went as a Japanese anime school girl, complete with well, big creepy anime eyes..

Eyes shut!
Eyes open!

A somewhat Snooki-ish Nicki Minaj <3 Sadly, the wig didn't make it through the night :(

Close-up of Jael's eyes while getting ready to go out

Angry Chicken

Ghost Busters!

Reason #435,343,250 why we need a better camera

Awesome gym teacher we wish we had in high school

Had to get a picture with flash after watching the Halloween episode of Big Bang Theory

Freaky

Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!

LOTD: LIGHT IN THE DARK

Sunday night was spent at Fig & Olive Meatpacking for a long overdue "reunion dinner". The     mellow, calm atmosphere with dimmed lighting was perfect for a lazy Sunday dinner. We were so hungry we forgot to take pictures of the delicious food (sorry!) Topics of discussion were: boys, family, Black Friday, boys, shoes, jewelry, and oh yeah, boys. After dinner we decided to take some SUPER HIGH QUALITY (hah!) nighttime pics on the nice cobblestone road by the West Side Highway (Note: cobblestones are not meant to be walked on in high heels).

LOTD: FALL LAYERS

 Shirt - Madewell (Similar here)
Jeans - Madewell (Boyjean)
Cardigan - J.Crew (Similar here loveee the grape color!)
Oxfords - Zara (Similar in a lighter color here)
Belt - Forever 21: actually came with a pair of shorts that I bought a while ago (Similar here)
Photo - me in front of a mirror at Forever 21 with my trusty HTC EVO 4G

What do you do when the weather gets cooler but you're not quite ready break out your jackets? LAYER! Today must've been a J.Crew/Madewell day for me. I'm loving their current collections but everything that I'm wearing is actually old, old, old. Black Friday is approaching and I'm trying to save as much as I can so that I can splurge when the day finally arrives. It's an annual tradition for me and Jael to wake up early and roam the streets of SoHo like zombies searching for brains. Of course, instead of brains, we're looking for kick-ass deals on clothes, shoes, and accessories! Until next time, HAPPY LAYERING!

Elsie

STAYING CONNECTED

Nine years ago, two girls met for the first time at a park on Cherry Street. They didn't like each other at first. One was a skinny bitch and the other was a little too snobby. However, as cliche as it may sound, they both knew they had an instant connection. As time progressed, they grew closer and closer, until they were the best of friends.. and then, well, as with most friendships, they started to grow apart..

This blog is our way of STAYING CONNECTED. Because no matter how hectic our lives become and how different our paths may be, we vow to always BE TOGETHER. Please enjoy our useless talk of clothes, shoes, bags, blah blah blah. And if you don't enjoy it, well, that's fine. Just leave quietly. We won't mind.
